Isell Buffkin
I was born and raised in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico. Played volleyball since I was 6 years old. My volleyball club was Arsel Eagles where my grandma owned the club. When I was 10 years old I specialized in a young age as a Libero and I got to travel to my first Jr. Olympics in the 12 and under category and won the gold medal. I graduated from highschool from Academia Discipulos De Cristo de Bayamon, PR. There I had a chance to go to the final event for highschool championship. When I graduated Highschool I got a volleyball scholarship to attend Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida where I received my Associate Degree in Business Administration. There I won both times The Volleyball Sunshine Conference, got the opportunity to attend States and from there went to Nationals. Also received recognitions as Defensive player of the year and First Team all conference. After my two years were done in HCC, I came back to PR and attended Universidad del Este en Carolina, PR. I did my last two years as an Administrative Assistant and finished my last two years in volleyball as well. In 2015 I moved to Orlando, Florida and coached part-time for OTVA Volleyball where I did 3 years with them. I specialize in the Libero position and love teaching the kids the game. This will be my 4 year coaching volleyball and I am excited for what this year will bring!
