I was born in Connecticut and lived there until I was 8 years old, then later raised in Puerto Rico until I was 18. I later moved to Orlando for a decade and then moved back to Puerto Rico for one year. I then decided to live in Southeast Asia for 6 months. I like to say that I am from Puerto Rico but in all reality, I feel like a Global Citizen.
Before attending UCF, I had attended high school in San Juan, Puerto Rico 2009-2013. While in Puerto Rico, I played baseball, football, volleyball, track and field and basketball. In every single sport league (club and high school) I was the MVP of the league in PR. I consider myself a hybrid athlete that has accomplished trophies, medals, individual accolades and accomplishments. My most meaningful accomplishment was winning my senior year in basketball and in volleyball in the same year. Team accomplishments are more rewarding than individual accomplishments.
In 2013, I began my athletic career at Valencia College, Rec Leagues at UCF in basketball and volleyball. From there I took a very internal turn and focused more on Coaching after my mentor Jeff Duke and Raymond Amalbert showed me the ropes to internal success leading to external fulfillment. My college career came to an early end after a right ankle injury that forced me to focus on my career.
In 2021, I decided to dive deeper into Athletic Development and Branding. I acquired my Massage License in the state of Florida, alongside my certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in Personal Training, Behavioral Change, Sports Nutrition, Stretch and Flexibility, Performance Enhancement and Corrective Exercise. I have trained over 3000 athletes, massaged over 7000 bodies, and traveled across the world to work with athletes in Phuket, Thailand and Da Nang, Vietnam.
Coaching goes beyond just playing the sport, it is all about personal development, the skills of: communication, confidence, clarity, identity and emotional stability in order for an athlete to focus on achieving their max potential.
