Deborah Anglero

My name is Deborah Angleró, but the girls call me Coach Debbie.

I am from Puerto Rico where I began playing volleyball at the age of 6. I played club volleyball for 9 years and 12 years in the school team. I was awarded MVP in several clubs and school tournaments and I also was named Athlete of the year in my senior year for the Major of the City.

On my club experience, I had the opportunity to play various tournaments in the US.

- AAU 2004- Silver Medal – ALL AMERICAN – 14 AND UNDER

My discipline, passion, and heart in the court let me conquered many achievements in my career as a volleyball player. I played outside hitter all my career and then at 14 I switch to libero to play semi-professional league. At age 15 I was playing the Professional League in Puerto Rico (Liga de Voleibol Superior Femenino) with Indias de Mayaguez Team for 2 years. In mid-time, I  served as a volunteer for several years giving free clinics to kids of all ages.

After graduation from High School, I received a full scholarship to play at the University of Puerto Rico. During my years of eligibility, I played on the volleyball team until I graduated with a Bachelors's degree in Business Administration (Marketing & Economics). I left the volleyball aside to be able to finish my Master's Degree in Marketing and Economics and to focus on my professional life. But when I moved to the United States, I couldn't take it anymore to be far from what I love the most, and I had to go back to the courts. Because it is what I am passionate about. And knowing that I can help with a grain of sand, that's what makes me happy.

I began coaching club volleyball in 2019 and having a great success leading a white team to the gold bracket in the AAU with the OTVA CLUB –14 & under.
